After the conclusion of a multi-city tour in Canada, the Cornell University Chorus, Cornell’s premiere treble ensemble, returns stateside to perform in Boston.
From Cornell University Chorus:
“The music centers around the theme of dreams and visions. We will explore music throughout the evening that conveys a vision, or relates a dream, or simply induces in the listener a dreamlike state. We will also present our 2018 commission from Australian composer Melissa Dunphy, who dove bravely into the vivid, unsettling poetry of the anarchist Lola Ridge (1873-1941). We will be performing music from the 16th century to the present day in five different languages.”
