"I would found an institution where any person can find instruction in any study."

2015 is a special year for Cornell, as it celebrates its Sesquicentennial (150th) anniversary. On April 27, 1865, the charter establishing Cornell University was signed, defining our land-grant mission and setting the stage for generations of Cornellians to help, to solve, and to transform the world.

It's a special milestone for alumni around the world, and the Cornell Club of Boston is excited to host a special event for Boston-area alumni unable to travel to Ithaca for the many campus-based festivities that are being planned.

Alumni of all ages and backgrounds are invited to gather on Friday, April 24, at District Hall in Boston's Seaport District for a special event. On campus in Ithaca Bill Nye ("The Science Guy") '77 and Steve Squyres '78, PhD '81 will present Cornell's history of leadership in space exploration. It promises to be an engaging, energizing, and entertaining presentation!

While we won't have "The Science Guy" and Professor Squyres ("The Mars Guy") in person in Boston, we will show a livestream of the presentation at District Hall so that alumni in Boston can gather together to hear from two of Cornell's most dynamic presenters and experts. (Learn more about the livestreamed event, "Cornell and the Joy of Discovery: Any Person, Any Planet".)

Following the livestream, we'll have food, cash bar, and a few special treats to celebrate Cornell's 150th -- Boston style!

Please join us for what promises to be a celebratory evening that will be fun, memorable, and intellectual.
