Moxie opened in October 2001 in Boston's historic Beacon Hill,
offering Boston women stylish, feminine shoes, bags, jewelry, and
accessories that work with their lifestyles. With her own passion for
shoes, bags and accessories, owner Karen Fadden Fabbri '96 believed in
the egalitarian nature of these items and wanted to bring them to her
neighborhood.
Karen has been a generous Boston alumnae in many
ways, not the least of which by hosting an exclusive Cornell
Professional Network event at Moxie. She closed down the store early
(to the dismay of several late shoppers on Charles Street), and
walked us through the roller coaster decisions that brought her to open
the doors of Moxie in 2002 and the lessons she has learned in the world
of (off-Newbury) high fashion and entrepreneurship in Boston.
Next time you are on Charles Street, pop in and say
hello. You will be dazzled by the wares offered at Moxie, and you
might meet a fellow alumnae to boot!
