Date/Time: This event was originally scheduled for June 6th, due to inclement weather the event has been rescheduled to Saturday, June 26th, 2009; 10:30-1:30pm

Location: Breakneck Hill Conservation Land, across the street from 61 Breakneck Hill Road, Southborough, MA 01772

Description: Join fellow Cornellians for a guided walk to look for bugs followed by a picnic lunch—no fires. This is a family event geared at children, but all of the entomologically-inclined are welcome.

Agenda:
    10:30 - Meet in the parking lot and distribute jars and nets.
    10:45 - A brief introduction to bugs talk and what to expect.
    11:00 - Walk through a variety of environments (fields, cultivated
                areas, woods, etc) and collect bugs as they are found, a
                few field guides will be on-hand for bug identification.
    11:45 - End the bug hunt at the picnic area, re-cap what was found,
                release any captive bugs.
    12:00 - Lunch, mingling, and more bug catching if there is interest.

Additional Information: Long pants, socks, and shoes are recommended-we don't need to collect any ticks! Please pack drinks, a blanket, and a lunch for your crew. There will be a few tables, but depending on how many people come we may need to eat on blankets. For the purpose of estimating how many jars we will need please RSVP for the event and indicate the number of kids that will be attending with you.
