Cornell-Harvard Football Pre-Game Tailgate
Location: Cumnock Field off of Soldiers Field Road near Harvard Stadium (see directions below)
Date/Time: Saturday, October 11, 2008; 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM
Description: Get fired up for the Cornell-Harvard football game. Join the Cornell Club of Boston for a pre-game tailgate beginning at 10:00 AM featuring brunch foods, soda and water. The tailgate will be located on Cumnock Field, which is adjacent to Harvard’s Jordan Field in the Harvard Athletic Complex and is the field you will be parking on if you enter via Gate 14 (parking is $10). Once parked, walk towards Jordan Field (Harvard’s lacrosse field) and look for the red and white balloons. This event is BYOB and please feel free to do so. For $5 per person, payable at the tailgate, enjoy great food and a friendly place to have a drink and chat with fans. The tailgate will end at the start of the game at 12:00 Noon.

Directions: To get to the tailgate you must enter the Harvard Athletic Complex via Gate 14 off of Soldiers Field Road. No other gate will admit you to the area. Do not park in the Harvard Business School lot. It is a substantial walk to the tailgate from that lot. From points west and from Route 128, take the Mass Pike to Exit 17 – Newton. Stay straight through two lights and turn left over the Mass Pike at the sign for Charlesbank Road. At the bottom of the hill, continue straight at the stop sign onto Soldiers Field Road. Continue for more than two miles through three traffic lights. Just past the third traffic light, enter through Gate 14 on your right. From Interstate 93, take Storrow Drive west past Harvard Square, staying left after Harvard Square. Enter to make a U-turn on your right just before the second traffic light. Gate 14 will be on your right after you make the U-turn.
