Touchdown: The Story of the Cornell Bear
A book reading by author and alumnus John Foote ‘74
Location: Advantage Data, 33 Arch Street, Suite 2103, Boston, MA
Event Date/Time: Friday, October 10, 2008; 5:30 PM – 6:45 PM
Description: Here’s your chance to learn more about Cornell’s beloved mascot. Did you know that the bear first appeared on campus in 1915 and was a real, live, honey-loving yet mischievous and sometimes ill-tempered character that made sporadic visits to campus for a quarter century? John will share this piece of history and more as he weaves together the sometimes legendary tales into a lively and truthful account of how our Big Red Bear came to be what it is today. The event is hosted by Rene Robert ’90, MBA ’95 and Gina Robert ’93 of Advantage Data.
