The 2007 Cornell Club of Boston Annual
Meeting
Professor Jordan LeBel, "Pleasure and
Comfort: The Allure of Chocolate"
In the nomenclature of comfort or pleasure
foods, chocolate reigns supreme. In this presentation,
Professor LeBel will discuss the history of chocolate
consumption from its earliest roots among the Olmec Indians
of Mexico to the current frenzy for all things chocolaty. He
will then explore recent trends in the marketing of
chocolate and go over the process of making chocolate from
cocoa bean to chocolate bar. The talk will conclude with an
actual tasting!

Bond...James Bond...We

stirred, and let's not forget the Bond girls...
Though most of us can't just jet across the Atlantic
to hit up Monte Carlo, we can get close for one
night.
Come dressed to the
nines as we turn Harvard Hall into a glam casino!
Bring your friends and gamble the night away for
charity while enjoying great food and a cash bar.
(Positive ID is required.) At least $10 from each
attendee will benefit The Cloud Foundation, a local
charity that supports urban teen arts programs! (
